History

Kingsubry Construction Work in Montpelier VT. Travis Kingsbury grew up working in his family’s excavation business, working as a laborer, equipment operator and pipe foreman. He went on to obtain his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Montana State University in 2002. During which time and shortly thereafter, he worked as Project Engineer and Superintendent for Barnard Construction Company of Bozeman, MT in California, Florida and South Carolina constructing multi-million dollar dams and water distribution projects.

In the fall 0f 2003 Travis returned home to Vermont and again began working for the family business as Vice President of Operations. Travis began composing a solid management team from his first days returning to the business with a vision for the future of the Kingsbury name. From 2003 to present day the Kingsbury team has expanded and constructed large scale heavy-civil projects throughout the states of Vermont and New Hampshire for both municipal and private entities. In 2008 Travis separated himself from Kingsbury Construction Co., Inc. and opened up Kingsbury Companies LLC. As Travis’s main focus from his return to Vermont had been in heavy-civil construction projects in a larger geographic region than his family’s original reaches, the separation made sense. Kingsbury Companies LLC now is a General Contractor specializing in heavy civil projects across New England. Their work ranges from renewable energy projects, to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants and transmission lines, dams and marine work to roadwork and landfill work as well as large tract land development projects.

Kingsbury Companies LLC has expansive capabilities within the heavy civil arena, offering all facets of the process including construction management, engineering and design, as well as self-performance of civil work.
